The module on “Citizen Science in the (Digital) Arts and Humanities” is focused on engaging non-professional researchers in scholarly projects and addresses the use, management, and potential challenges of citizen science in humanities research.
This module is particularly valuable for researchers and practitioners in the humanities who are interested in incorporating citizen science approaches into their work, helping them to effectively manage contributions and navigate associated challenges.
This module will look at the variety of practices within ‘citizen science’, how you as a humanist might get started working with them, what issues you might be wary of along the way and how Research Infrastructures can potentially help you.

- Recognise and define common approaches to incorporating citizen science into research projects in the arts and humanities
- Be aware of strategies and tools for managing citizen input to research
- Recognise some of the possible challenges in such projects and be equipped to manage them
