Our goal is to provide a variety of services as innovation consultancy on a wide range of topics, taught by industry experts. This consultancy offers a unique opportunity for businesses and organizations – such as universities, galleries, libraries, archives, and museums – to learn about and experience European cultural traditions firsthand in innovative ways, and gain valuable insights into how to use digital tools to promote and preserve these traditions in their initiatives as well.

In addition to our innovation consultancy, we also offer a range of tools and resources to help businesses and organizations explore and connect with cultural heritage. Our interactive map allows users to discover cultural traditions, digital tools, and exhibitions in their own communities and beyond, while our online forums provide a space for professionals to connect and share their experiences and knowledge with others.

What is your process of working in smaller projects?

Heritage Innovation Lab offers comprehensive consulting, other solutions. Our vision is to be at the forefront of creativity and innovation, fostering the use of digital technologies in the cultural heritage field. Every cultural institution has an opportunity to discover the best way to tell stories from the past and present to shape the future.

Who is behind Heritage Innovation Lab?

Heritage Innovation Lab is funded by Creative Europe as an Innovation Lab  (CREA-CROSS-2021-INNOVLAB) approved by the codename C4Education. The Project runtime is from July 2022 to June 2024 and has as leading partner the Friedrich-Schiller University Jena (DE) together with Time Machine Organisation – TMO (AT), International Centre for Archival Research – ICARUS (AT), and Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision – NISV (NL).
